This report helps identify **failed transactions** and **your payment gateway's response explaining why the transaction was unsuccessful.**  1.1. How to run the report ![failed1](https://knowledgebase.akaraisin.com/hubfs/failed1.png) - Go to **Common Reports** -\> **Transactions Report.** - Enter the **Event/Location ID** for the event you want to report on. - Under **Gift Frequency**, leave it on the default 'All' unless there is a specific gift frequency you are trying to isolate within your failed transactions. - Under **Status,** select **Failed.** - Note: This report can also be filtered with other statuses for other use cases. - Add a **date range** if you're looking for a specific time period or pattern. - Select **Generate** to run the report. Once the report generates below, you can search for a **name/transaction code** or even flip through **page of the report**. This report is also downloadable.  1.2 What the report shows The report includes **key transaction details**, including: - **Transaction code** - **Donor Name** - **Donor's raisin ID** - **Date of donation** - **Revenue source** (i.e. registration fee, donation, store item) - **Transaction amount** (gross amount) - **Payment method** (card type) 1.3 Investigating a failed transaction To find out **why a transaction failed**, click the **blue transaction code** (first column on the left). This opens the transaction details in a new tab, where you can view the payment gateway's response and identify the reason for the failed transaction.  ![failed2](https://knowledgebase.akaraisin.com/hubfs/failed2.png) As shown in the example above, the report provides the details of the donation and the payment gateway's response.  The **key detail** to look for "**IsComplete: false.**" When this appears in the payment gateway response, it indicates that the payment was not completed and is what triggers the transaction to show a **Failed** status.  At the bottom of the response you'll also find the **payment gateway's explanation** for why the transaction failed. In the example above, the client's payment gateway does not accept VisaDebit cards, **which is why the donation failed**. Other common payment gateway responses may include:  - HOLD ON CARD: the card is on hold by the issuer - EXCEEDS LIMIT: the transaction exceeds the card's available limit - INCORRECT NUMBERS: the card information entered (i.e., CVV) is incorrect -
