Accessibility guidelines and compliance

The raisin Service allows organizations to transmit or publish content created by you using the system (i.e. “User Generated Content”), for which the organization is responsible for and for the consequences of its transmission or publication.

Given the capacity to public websites and website content, compliance to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards for sites launched on the system is a joint effort with you, the Client, depending on which criteria is being met.

Your organization is responsible for the User Generated Content, including maintaining compliance with web accessibility standards, that is afforded through the Website Content Management System, including content, colour and include alt-text, as well as custom CSS for any other areas of the website. This content is outside of the raisin Service's control.

On the other hand, system-generated elements (“System Content”, such as forms and templated buttons) of public websites generated through the platform are the Service’s responsibility, and adhere to the compliance standard of AODA -- notwithstanding User Generated Content that is transmitted or published by you through the system.
