Can I remove "akaraisin.com" from my site domain?
Your custom organization subdomain, plus the "akaraisin.com" domain are standard to the composition of site URLs on your events.
If you own a custom domain or vanity URL, there are two ways to point users to your URL(s).
Redirecting/Forwarding a URL
Forwarding your custom domain is a straightforward way of pointing users visiting the branded URL you own, to the site you've created on raisin. Domain forwarding/redirect can be performed directly through your domain's DNS Settings.
Importantly, when performing a URL redirect, ensure that you are not enabling domain gripping. Domain gripping creates an iframe that holds the desired URL, while displaying the content of the site being forwarded to within the frame. Domain gripping can cause usability issues, creating loops during the donation or registration process, preventing donors from giving to your cause.
If you are subscribed to our Bloom package, redirects can also be facilitated via support from your Client Experience Manager or via our Help Desk.
Custom Domain Masking
We also offer a domain-masking solution that effectively replaces "akaraisin.com" in the URL of all your raisin events with another secured domain you own or have purchased separately.
For example, "organizationname.akaraisin.com" would be replaced by the domain you own and have purchased separately, such as "donate.organization.com".
This is available in our Bloom package.
