User Recognition of Returning Peer-to-Peer Participants
User Recognition is available for all Peer-to-Peer events, making registration faster and fundraising easier for participants.
This feature simplifies the registration process for Pledge events by allowing returning participants to re-use their username and password from a previous event of yours to quickly register for another campaign, and import their previous efforts. When registering as a "Returning Participant", the following is imported into the Participant Centre:
- Address Book from their previous event
- Donation History from all previous events associated with username
- Saved Messages
- Ability to import Photos/Story from previous events
In raisin Admin, this feature is found in the Registration & Scoreboards section of your event.
Select "Yes" to "Allow Returning Participants" to register with a previous username and password. If you wish to switch this off, select "No" and Save.
When participants join with their previous Username and Password, they may register as an Individual, create a team in the new event as a Team Captain or join a team as a Team Member.
For first-time users of raisin, we advise switching this to "No" as your participants will not have a username and password associated with events on raisin.
User Recognition in Ticketing
In Ticketing, purchasers are also prompted for a username and password. At this time, User Recognition is not available for this module, and purchasers should be instructed to enter credentials unique to the campaign they are registering for.
Username is Taken
Usernames are generated across the entire raisin platform, so if a Username is taken, another amazing fundraiser has already created an account with that name
