How does the integration with MailChimp work?

raisin integrates with MailChimp's best-in-class e-marketing tools!

When MailChimp is connected with raisin fundraising events, Participants (Individual, Team Members, and Team Captains), Donors and Volunteers are automatically synced to contact lists in your MailChimp account – with no manual exports required. It’s this simple:

Contacts are assigned to either to a specific list you’ve already set up in MailChimp, or you can allow raisin to create a new event mailing list for you on-the-fly. As participants, donors, and volunteers join the event, they are in turn added to the list on an hourly basis and grouped on the following criteria:

  • Constituent Types Group: Identifies contact as a Donor, Participant, Team Member, Team Captain, or Volunteer.
  • Multi-Pledge Groups: If you are using our Multi-Pledge module for multi-location peer-to-peer fundraising, we will automatically create the Group in MailChimp for this event as well. The Group is renamed according to the Label you have chosen in raisin (i.e. City, Region, Company).
