Do I need a fundraising goal for my Ticketing event?
You will need to input a Goal as a mandatory field, but it does not generate a thermometer like a Peer-to-Peer event would.
Your Fundraising Goal is the amount you hope to raise, and is mandatory when creating an event. In most cases, the Goal is used to generate an event thermometer that showcases your fundraising progress.
For Ticketing events, Goal doesn't play a large role in your event as it would on a Peer-to-Peer event like Pledge or Multi-Pledge, and does not generate an event thermometer.
It's still a mandatory field though, so enter the amount you hope to raise. If you don’t have a goal you can simply enter in “1.00” into the Goal field. The amount can be changed later if you wish to raise or lower your goal.
