If a Participant is locked out of their account after too many failed login attempts, re-save their profile in Admin or change their password.
The system automatically locks a Participant out of their account after five failed login attempts. The timeout period is 20 minutes, but if the user is looking for immediate access or has forgotten their password, you can unlock their account in one of two ways:
Update User Profile
In Manage Users, search for the Participant and visit their user profile. Simply scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the "Save" button. This will reset their profile, and in turn, unlock their account so that they can login again.
Change Password
Participant user profiles also include Username and Password fields. While their Password is encrypted and hidden to administrators, you can change the Participant's Password by request. Simply enter and re-enter the new passcode they provide, and save changes.
Participant Reset from Event Site
Participants may also reset their password directly from the event site following the prompts to reset their password from the Login or Register page.
